In 2026, the Ball returned for its 11th annual edition with the inspiring theme “Level Up,” emphasizing the power of breaking barriers, fostering innovation, and lifting communities through mentorship, opportunity, and collective achievement.
But the excitement truly began well before the black-tie gala at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel. One of the standout lead-up events was RBC Black Diamond Ball – The Vocalist, held on February 5, 2026, at The Pearl in downtown Toronto. This electrifying singing competition invited vocalists from across Canada to command the stage in 90-second performances that showcased not just technical skill, but emotional depth, artistry, and stage presence.
